“A bathtub, a corpus delicti, currently the only possible connection to me, to you, to everything beyond the physical – the past, the present, the future. Inner, paradoxical beings that speak to each other, silently and loudly. You are not what I want. Fluid boundaries. This is an attempt to reconnect with you, to make sense out of the chaos. To create space for me, for you, and for our connection.”
Mutterkuchen is an experimental short movie documenting a being diving deep into a subliminal space.
Through editing, overlapping images, drawings, and lyrical texts, the material is condensed into a poetic reflection on connection, loss, and transformation. The film moves chronologically through approach, immersion, rejection, acceptance, and detachment.
The work is an attempt at processing and reconciliation, while also raising questions about the boundaries between artistic exploration and potential re-traumatization.

Look at it
Look
It’s remembering you
It’s remembering me
It does not belong to you
It does not belong to me
It is and it isn’t
